Why

OK...so let's get this right

You don't keep the workshop fee.
You don't keep the cash made from the MOHE Vintage Haberdashery.
You provide all materials at your own expense.
You put hours into creating everything.
You give up your time to plan, prepare and present.

Q. Why, if your giving all the cash to a bunch of animals?

A. Because we believe it's the right thing to do.
Animals don't throw themselves out of home, ask to be mistreated or are responsible for humans lack of planning for an animal in their lives.
So, we want to give back to those furry little friends that  have suffered at the expense of man.

1. Both Minister's adore being creative and are all about the sharing. What's the point of keeping all our skills and knowledge a secret when it's far more fun to share. Yes, anyone can borrow a book from the library but it's far more fun to get together with like minded crafters.
2. If we are happy to share crafting secrets why would we charge? But, we do recognise a value has to be placed on our time and items provided, so we would much rather the cash went toward a deserving charity.
The Minister of Artistic License is lucky to be owned by a gorgeous canine called Anoushka, so it is only right that the MOHE Mutt&Moggy should be set up to raise funds that get donated to the Sydney Dogs and Cats home.

Sydney Dogs and who?

The Sydney Dogs and Cats home, started out as a Council Pound, serving 3 local councils back in 1946, but now it is a charitable organisation that services 11 Councils across Sydney! They are unique facility that operates as a council pound and a re-homing shelter.

Their policy is to prevent unnecessary euthanasia of healthy, loving, domestic pets. A second chance is given to all pets, young or old, and those with special needs. They are the first pound in NSW to sign up to Getting to Zero Euthanasia program (G2Z), designed for pounds and shelters who consider that it is an ethical imperative to pursue all available options to save or rehome rescue pets as opposed to utilising euthanasia as a default position (when impounded pets pass their statotory "hold" period).
To learn more about G2Z have a look at the information  here.
We are committed through MOHE Mutt&Moggy to raise as much as possible at each workshop for the Sydney Dogs & Cats home, so you don't have to stop at the entrance fee and making a few purchases, you can donate as much as you like. As all charitable donations are tax deductible, everyone's a winner!
